Meta has released Astryx, an open-source design system built on React and StyleX that includes over 150 accessible components, seven themes, dark mode, templates, and a CLI tool. The system evolved over eight years inside Meta and is now available in Beta. Astryx separates component behavior and accessibility from visual theming, allowing customization at the token level without component rewrites.
Meta and Anthropic are in early-stage discussions for Meta to lease AI computing capacity to Anthropic in a deal reportedly worth up to $10 billion over two years, according to Reuters. Anthropic proposed the arrangement in June, and would pay Meta in monthly instalments, though the terms remain subject to change and either company could exit early. The talks are complicated by Meta's lack of an existing business selling computing power.
