Alibaba unveiled Qwen 3.8, a multimodal AI model with 2.4 trillion parameters, during the World AI Conference in Shanghai on July 19. The Qwen team claims the model ranks second only to Fable 5 among systems it benchmarked. A preview is available now, though the benchmark table, model card, and license have not yet been released.
