Sakana AI updates Fugu Ultra router to v1.1 with claimed 7.9-point gains

Sakana AI released version 1.1 of its Fugu Ultra AI model router, claiming performance improvements of up to 7.9 points over v1.0. The update adds a Claude Code-compatible endpoint. The company claims the updated router now outperforms Fable 5 without including it in the model pool. Independent verification of the performance claims does not yet exist. The service remains unavailable in the EU.
