Holiday Robotics raises $105M Series A for dexterous industrial humanoids
Holiday Robotics, founded in 2024, raised $105 million in Series A funding to develop dexterous humanoid robots for industrial manufacturing. The company builds FRIDAY, a humanoid robot designed for factory floors with 64 degrees of freedom, 40 of which are dedicated to its hands for manipulation tasks. FRIDAY features a wheel-based mobile base, dexterous upper body, hot-swappable batteries, lightweight back-drivable joints, and 360-degree perception with multiple cameras and LiDARs for safe operation alongside people. The company developed Vision-Language-Skill (VLS) architecture, where vision and language models define tasks while a library of validated skills ensures reliable, repeatable execution. Holiday Robotics focuses on automating repetitive physical work in manufacturing environments without requiring changes to existing factory layouts or processes.
