NVIDIA joins Open Secure AI Alliance for AI safety and security

NVIDIA is among roughly 35 founding partners that launched the Open Secure AI Alliance on July 27, 2026, alongside companies including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, and xAI. The alliance is anchored by the Linux Foundation and builds on its Akrites initiative and OpenSSF community work. Its mission is to develop and share open tools that make AI more transparent and trustworthy, with a focus on remediating and disclosing vulnerabilities using open technologies. The coalition was partly catalyzed by a recent security incident at Hugging Face involving an AI model. NVIDIA's participation aligns with the alliance's goal of democratizing defensive AI capabilities for developers, researchers, and security teams.
